SUMMARY:Accessing Prayer One Word at a Time
DESCRIPTION:Accessing Prayer: One Word At A Time\nWith Rabbi Benjy Forester\, Rabbi at Anshe Emet Synagogue\n7:00 PM–8:00 PM at Anshe Emet Synagogue\, 3751 W. Broadway\, Chicago\n\nSometimes when we think about prayer\, it can be hard to know where to start. This could be because of challenges with literacy\, commitment\, or connection. During this class\, we will explore why we pray\, and how to approach the potentially daunting experience of Jewish prayer as something we can more easily grasp. The secret? Take. Things. One. Word. At. A. Time.\n\nRabbi Benjy Forester received his rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York\, where he also received an MA from the Gershon Kekst Graduate School. Upon starting at JTS\, Benjy was selected for the Nachshon Project Fellowship. While at JTS\, Benjy served as the Rabbinic Intern at Sutton Place Synagogue.\n\nLight dinner provided. ASL interpreter will be present. All are welcome to attend at no cost.\n\nIn partnership with Mishkan\, Silverstein Base Lincoln Park\, Anshe Emet Synagogue\, and SketchPad.\n\nIf this in-person gathering is not accessible to you\, please register for an “online” ticket and a link will be sent to you for the livestream.\n\nThis program is supported by a JUF Young Adult Engagement Grant.\n\nRegister here: https://accessingprayer.eventbrite.com
