Signed Torah – Rabbi Shari Chen| Wednesdays 6:15PM- 7:45PM CT (online)
We can not only communicate with God, and with one another with our lips, but also with our hands. In this class we will learn how to translate selected Torah portions from Bereshit (Genesis), beginning with creation through the narratives of Joseph, into sign language. By translating the Hebrew into sign, we gain a greater understanding of our Torah and a way to express and to share visually the beauty of our Scriptures with others.
