Hebrew Seminary of the Deaf classes are conducted in the Congregation Bene Shalom/Hebrew Association of the Deaf building, located in Skokie, Illinois, a suburb located just north of Chicago. Students have full access to an extensive library including Jewish texts and reference books.
Currently all classes are held virtually via Zoom. We anticipate to have classes in person and online in Spring 2022.
Chicago has a large deaf community and, through Seminary’s relationship with Congregation Bene Shalom, students are part of an established and active Jewish deaf community.
The Chicago area location of Hebrew Seminary gives our students access to numerous universities and major libraries including Spertus and Hebrew Theological College.
