Sometimes when we think about prayer, it can be hard to know where to start. This could be because of challenges with literacy, commitment, or connection. During this class, we will explore why we pray, and how to approach the potentially daunting experience of Jewish prayer as something we can more easily grasp. The secret? Take. Things. One. Word. At. A. Time.
Rabbi Benjy Forester received his rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, where he also received an MA from the Gershon Kekst Graduate School. Upon starting at JTS, Benjy was selected for the Nachshon Project Fellowship. While at JTS, Benjy served as the Rabbinic Intern at Sutton Place Synagogue.
Light dinner provided. ASL interpreter will be present. All are welcome to attend at no cost.
In partnership with Mishkan, BASE Lincoln Park, Ashe Emet Synagogue, and SketchPad.
